The space agencies of Italy and Canada sign an agreement to explore space for peaceful purposes together. To sign the protocol the president of the Italian Space Agency, Giorgio Saccoccia, and the president of the Canadian Space Agency Lisa Campbell.

During a bilateral meeting at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) in Dubai, the two space agencies of Italy and Canada decided to collaborate together. The goal is space exploration, for peaceful purposes. The agreement serves to provide a framework for collaborating together, an action plan for the future of exploration between the two nations.

The understanding comes to facilitate the exchange of information and the promotion of joint activities and initiatives. Especially in the areas of research and development, as well as academia, industry and in the space sector.

The two countries will work together in activities in the field of space science and technology. But there will also be the possibility of working together in other areas. Such as that of earth observation from orbit. And then that of the development of space exploration systems for joint missions. Finally, important is also the area of training, on which the ASI in particular is working hard in recent years. Not only promoting activities in schools but also with interesting (and Nerd) initiatives such as that of collaborating directly with Leo Ortolani to bring Rat-Man into space.

The signing of the agreement, signed by Giorgio Saccoccia and Lisa Campbell, will allow the two agencies to continue in all the activities in which they are already engaged, but working together to achieve the best possible results. We look forward to seeing where this joint exploration may lead.
