  • Sasha Koo-Oshima, Deputy Director, Land, and Water Division, FAO

  • Michele Bianconi, Deputy Operations Manager for Manufacturing, Commercial and Real Estate, Stantec

  • Raimondo Orsini, Director, Sustainable Development Foundation

  • Simone Stancari, Co-founder, Energy Way

Background: Currently, the green economy holds roughly the same market share as the fossil fuel sector, 6% of the globally listed equity derived from renewable and alternative energy, energy efficiency, water, waste and pollution services. This new economy is now worth approximately $4 trillion.

The energy industry comprises more than half of the green economy, followed by the food and agriculture, water and transport sectors.

As the use of new technologies drives innovation, both governments and businesses need to understand the key factors driving the green economy; this event will provide a forum for the Chamber's supporters, guests and key stakeholders to:

  • Improve their understanding of the green economy

  • Explore the challenges and opportunities of this sector

  • Create new connections with the leaders driving the industry

Format: With a view to engaging a new audience and deepening the knowledge of experienced participants, the event will take the format of a moderated panel presentation where speakers will simplify the complexity of the subject by each making a five-minute presentation on one aspect of the Green Economy, followed by a Q&A session with the audience. After the panel discussion, the participants will be able to continue the conversation and interact with the leaders driving the green industry.

The panel presentation aims to provide participants with:

  • - More in-depth knowledge on the future of the green economy

  • - Increased awareness of the opportunities and challenges associated with this sector

The panel presentation outcome document will capture key learning from the event and opportunities for future collaboration.

RSVP directly here by completing this form before April 12.
