According to the latest “State of the Canadian Space Sector” report, the space sector generated revenues of $5.5B with a workforce of nearly 10,000. Upstream segment activities related to research, engineering and manufacturing generated revenues of $0.9B, while downstream segment operations, products and services accounted for $4.6B. Export sales emerged as a significant area of growth.

In global terms, the space economy will triple from CAD $435 billion in 2016 to $1.46 trillion in 2040. Many innovations now critical to most organizations resulted from space R&D, and chances are that many future innovations will be sourced in the cosmos as well. As the Global Future Council on Space Technologies predicts a new wave of space-enabled innovation by 2030, this event will provide a forum to the Chamber's sponsors, special guests and key stakeholders to:
